El secretario de Seguridad de la Nación lo dijo luego de que cinco chilenos intentaran robar en un supermercado de Balvanera y se tirotearan con la Policía. “Vienen a la Argentina únicamente a delinquir”.

Robert Raben, Executive Director
Robert Raben leads American Task Force Argentina’s education and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill, encouraging the United States government to take action on behalf of American taxpayers, businesses and bondholders. With nearly 20 years of professional experience as an attorney, senior Hill staffer and Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Raben has a nuanced understanding of both the legal subtleties and the political realities of the issues he handles. Mr. Raben is the founder of The Raben Group, LLC, a legislative consulting and lobbying practice that develops strategies to achieve complicated public policy goals. He brings an aggressively bipartisan approach to the firm, built during a highly respected legislative career that began with seven years on Representative Barney Frank's staff and concluded with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde's endorsement of his Justice Department appointment. Mr. Raben then moved to the Subcommittee on Courts and Intellectual Property, again serving as Democratic Counsel. In 1999, Mr. Raben's reputation and effectiveness caught the attention of the White House, earning him an appointment as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General and, subsequently, Assistant Attorney General, Office of Legislative Affairs. A graduate of Wharton and NYU law, Mr. Raben became an associate with the widely respected law firm Arnold & Porter in 1990, specializing in international trade, federal lobbying and white collar criminal defense. He is a past president of the Hispanic Bar Association of DC, and serves on the Boards of the Hispanic Bar Foundation, the American Constitution Society and the Alliance for Justice.
The Honorable Robert J. Shapiro, Co-Chair
Robert J. Shapiro is the co-founder and chairman of Sonecon, LLC, a private firm that advises U.S. and foreign businesses, governments and non-profit organizations on market conditions and economic policy. Dr. Shapiro has advised, among others, U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Tony Blair; private firms such as MCI, Inc., New York Life Insurance Co., SLM Corporation, Nordstjernan of Sweden, and Fujitsu of Japan; and non-profit organizations including the American Public Transportation Association, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Investors Action Alliance. He is also Senior Fellow of the Progressive Policy Institute and a director of the Ax:son-Johnson Foundation in Sweden and the Center for International Political Economy in New York. From 1997 to 2001, Dr. Shapiro was U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs. In that position, he directed economic policy for the Commerce Department and oversaw the Nation’s major statistical agencies, including the Census Bureau while it carried out the 2000 decennial census. Prior to that appointment, he was co-founder and Vice President of the Progressive Policy Institute and the Progressive Foundation. He also was principal economic advisor in Governor Bill Clinton’s 1991-1992 presidential campaign and senior economic advisor to Vice President Albert Gore in his 2000 presidential campaign. Dr. Shapiro also served as Legislative Director for Senator Daniel P. Moynihan, Associate Editor of U.S. News & World Report, and economic columnist for Slate. He has been a Fellow of Harvard University, the Brookings Institution, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, a M.Sc. from London School of Economics, and an A.B. from the University of Chicago.

Ambassador Nancy Soderberg, Co-Chair
Ambassador Soderberg is an author, public commentator, and foreign policy expert. She is currently a Visiting Distinguished Scholar at the University of North Florida and President and CEO of Soderberg Solutions, an international consulting firm. From 2001-2005, she served as Vice President for Multilateral Affairs of the International Crisis Group in New York, a non-profit conflict prevention organization. She served in the White House as the third-ranked official on the National Security Council (1993-1996) and as Alternate Representative to the United Nations (1997-2001), with the rank of Ambassador. Prior to joining the Administration, she served as Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to Senator Edward M. Kennedy. She has been active in national politics over the last twenty years, serving in a variety of positions on the campaigns of the Democratic nominee for President.
Her second book, The Prosperity Agenda: What The World Wants From America -- and What We Need In Return, was published in July 2008. Her first book, The Superpower Myth: The Use and Misuse of American Might, was published in March 2005. She speaks and publishes regularly in leading newspapers and journals on national security policy. She is a frequent commentator on national and international television and radio.
In 2008, she was elected Precinct Committeewoman, Duval County Democratic Executive Committee, Jacksonville, Florida and currently serves as the chair of Florida's National Security Network. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on the advisory board of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy and the Stanley Foundation. She is on the board of the Jacksonville World Affairs Council.
